kate mcmanus as "emily" After discovering a passion for all things theatrical as a teenager, Kate threw herself into a local community television station, where she met a number of people involved in amateur theatre. It’s now 12 years since she set foot on stage in a production of Carousel. She has since played parts such as “Gertie” in Oklahoma, “Ursula” in Bye Bye Birdie, “Sonja” in Godspell, “Shirl” in Dimboola and is currently rehearsing the role of “Karen” in It’s My Party and I’ll Die If I Want To, to be performed in January 2004 for Dandenong Theatre Company. Along with performing, Kate has directed and coordinated theatre restaurant-style Fawlty Towers shows, co-written children’s pantomimes and directed a full-scale musical - Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. Her most recent stage role was as "Katherine" in Chasing Pegasus (A Play in Ten Chords), directed by Sally McLean. back to cast
